Creating fascinating worlds with all media necessary

GET TO KNOW ME.

It is my passion to create surroundings and atmospheres that leave behind an impression on a visceral level.

To generate experiences like this I am prepared to use all media and materials necessary.

I have been studying Applied Theater Sciences (“Angewandte Theaterwissenschaften”) with Heiner Goebbels at Giessen University and graduated with a diploma in 2010. Since then I have been living and working in Berlin. At the Kunsthochschule Weissensee I upgraded my formal education by studying stage and costume design from 2011 to 2013. Since then I have been continually improving my skill sets, acquiring proficiency in analog and digital tools.

Being self-employed as a professional artist for almost a decade has established a multifaceted body of work, ranging from directing to art direction as well as stage and costume design, from light design to video works, and interdisciplinary installations.

During my time at Giessen University I co-founded the performance group Monster Truck that went on to be firmly established in the German-speaking performance scene. Working together closely throughout the duration of our studies our collaborations have continued to this day although less frequent.

Collaborating with contemporary classical music ensembles like Ensemble ModernAsassello Quartett, and LUX:NM as well as composers like Gordon Kampe or sagardìa I have gained tremendous experience in connecting auditory to visual worlds. Combined these two can grow into an artistic expression far surpassing the sum of their individual parts.

In 2012, I co-founded KOIKATE that started out a as a performance collective and has since developed into a platform for interdisciplinary art. Together with my co-founder Lea Walloschke and an alternating group of artists and experts I created various works in multiple art genres. Our installation We Make Europe Great Again (#wmega) was part of THE HAUS | Berlin Art Bangand attracted an audience of more than 80,000 people.

Most recently I shifted my attention to light and video works. My latest designs support the tours of international companies like the IIPM (Internatioinal Institue of Political Murder) headed by Milo Rau and Familie Flöz, continuing to receive critical acclaim.

At the end of every show there is always one thought, one image, one experience, one vision, that leaves a lasting impression on your mind …
